Tailored Nature Experiences
The seasons on Wadawurrung and Gadubanud Country offer incredible opportunities throughout the year. In Spring we will admire orchids and wildflowers, and begin to see the incredible invertebrate biodiversity emerging. Summer brings the nocturnal species out and active, let's find out who is here! There are wonders when we explore in Winter and Autumn.
Rockpools are amazing all year around - when Tide is low!
Photographic Tours
Looking for Rufous Bristlebird? Let's go photograph them! Or Hoodie? Or maybe the Chestnut-rumped Heath Wren (they're tricky, but we'll have a go!). Pink Robin is a beauty, isn't he.
Nature Connection
Today, the sense of disconnect from nature among us humans of all ages, is growing. If that anxiety and sense of unease is dwelling inside, let's talk it out and share our hopeful visions for the future as we find some of the most beautiful plants and animals you have never seen before. (Like this Dragon Springtail, Womersleymeria sp.)
Early Childhood and School Education
Would rather Pete visit you? I have my VIT registration and WWCC - and 15 years of school education experience bringing the outdoor environment to schools, bushkinders, and playgroups.
Exciting Discoveries
First Photograph of a living animal
These are the first known living photographs of this species of weevil beetle (Meriphus fullo).
Meeting Verco's Nudibranch for the first time
A radical animal of the nocturnal rockpools. Top of the want to meet list for a long time. Finally, at Eagle Rock Marine Sanctuary, there they were. I stood photographing them for so long in the water, that Blue Ring Octopus swam past my feet!
Birds of the Piliga and Wurumbungles
It was a wonderful trip into NSW photographing species of plants, animals, but often it is the bird encounters, especially with species I have not met, that are the most exciting and memorable.
